This fic has Derek seeing Scott taking over his responsibilities and he's surprisingly okay with that. Feeling free, finally, he goes off to find himself, and figure out who he could be if his world wasn't constantly crashing down around him. It's a lovely post-alpha pack fic.

So there he is, with no memories of what happened, the last couple of weeks like a blank line in his mind and knowing all too well that he’s the best shot they have at catching this guy. As a key witness and in acute, assumed danger, he finds himself under surveillance 24/7 and more often than not, his dad’s best Deputy: Derek Hale, is sitting at his kitchen table.

A perfect ‘what Stiles and Derek did on their summer vacation’ fic. Fits perfectly into canon. I loved it.

Stiles is toggling between two parallel universes, never quite knowing which he is waking up in until he spots either his mom or his dad at the kitchen table and it might be driving him a bit insane. I love the way this story is told, at times heartbreaking but so so beautiful and very engaging. While this could have been a 30k or 100k fic, I found the sharpness of the ‘quick scenes’ storytelling very satisfying.

It wasn't any of the usual things, but when whatever it was landed his son in the hospital with a bullet in his leg, it was the last straw.

This is a classic "age-disparity teacher/student wrong, flithy, hot, omg... they are going to get caught what are they doing never stop" type fic. Peter is quite morally grey but more on the happy to seduce an underage boy, and the less serial killer type of ~grey. If this is your kink, it's a delicious read.

This is a rare beast: a long Peter/Stiles fic! I don’t think this is fic for everyone, so I’ll give some warnings. The initial catalyst is Peter being given some sex pollen thing and basically forced to rape Stiles. It’s not an easy read, but both Peter and Stiles are victims at that point. However, during the rape, Peter (out of control) bites Stiles and voila! they are mated which comes with all kinds of wolfy-rules about such things. So the fic is basically about Stiles dealing with the fact that he is now mated to Peter against his will. Some of it made me very uncomfortable because I have issues with helplessness/forced submission, but I think the characterisation of both Peter and Stiles in the situation were well done. And Scott as well, he was the voice of the reader going: this is not right. The way the others ~accepted things was unsettling. Stiles does not give in easily although there is ‘no way out’ of the mating and such (reader just needs to accept that as that’s the entire premise of the fic) but in the end Stiles is pragmatic. Note: the author does slip in the occasional epithet and the word ‘cum’ … But I am reccing it because I did enjoy it even if it walked the line of some of my squicks, and I know many of you share my kinks. so. The best part for me is that the sex is always hot and Peter does do his best to make Stiles enjoy the sex that they are ~forced to have.

I think this was a nice plotty read, though is straddles an odd line for some readers when it comes to pairings. The focus of the fic is Stiles/Danny, but there are plenty of hints of Stiles/Derek. If anything, I would call it ‘Stiles/Derek pre-slash’. It has lots of lovely Stiles/Danny, so if you enjoy stiles/danny and as long as you don’t mind Sterek hovering in the shadows waiting to pounce, you should enjoy this one. (also warning for the ‘scott deserts stiles for isaac’ trope, which eventually works out. jsyk)

HELLO, WATERSPORTS! though this fic does contain watersports, the fic is not ABOUT watersports. There's great characterisation, some good background plotting, lots of emotion and hot sex. And yes, some watersports (consensual and not). All together it made for a great read.

I loved everything about this. Loved the fic, loved the art, loved the happy beginning and the slow burning sterek, loved Stiles pov as the fox, the building of the angst until all the laughs were gone and the fic just hurt, and the perfectly perfect ending.

This fic is not an easy read. It deals with grief and character death. Erica is killed by the Alpha Pack in front of Stiles after they both suffer through days of torture. The author doesn’t pull any punches on details, but this is a beautiful fic, dealing with post-trauma healing. The fic begins with Stiles' rescue and the focus is him picking up the pieces of his life and his sanity after what he went through. Even if you have to skim the extra gritty bits, it’s really worth the read. Great characterisations all around, and a special shout out for some great Boyd moments.

I really liked that this started out as a simple ‘Stiles wants someone (anyone) to have sex with’ fic and he somehow stumbles into a relationship with Deucalion. It was oddly believable. And not nearly as angsty as it could have been. I really appreciated that Stiles was treated with respect the entire time, even while he played a very dangerous game.

I went fic diving last night and came across an absolute gem. I have no idea how I missed it, but given that it's got 2k+ kudos, obviously I'm the only one who has! I love fics where people’s memories have been fucked with and they struggle to discern what feelings are real or manufactured. Fantastic read.

OnTheTurningAway recced this to me, and I jumped on it because I love fics with people hopping universes and I love female!Stiles. This fic is beautifully done. I love the characterisations of both the female!Stiles (who is a 28 yr old, pregnant widow, living in an AU) and each of the canon characters and how they react to this AU!Stiles. I found it fresh, original and extremely heartbreaking (However I also have an irrational fear of being widowed while pregnant and I’ve basically been sobbing since reading it, ymmv!), but it’s also hopeful, a tale of grief, living and moving on.
