*flails* what a WONDERFUL feel good fic. I just want to smile and giggle and love the world after reading this fic. It was clever (I didn't realise how clever until the plot unfolded) and sexy and very sexy and yet adorable. Draco's POV was really well done, rough around the edges and sympathetic, just how I love him. The kind of 37k you just breeze though and think... god, I could read another 10k of this no problem.

That said, I'm not voting... every one that I have a guess at is because I actually know from nefarious means. *g*

You know hp_kinkfest? That little fest? Well the whole idea came from the desire for more well written, kink focused fic. Because kink!fic just isn't done that often and when it’s done… *flails* it is soooooo damn delish. It can blow your mind and make something you never imagined to be hot become So. Fucking. Hot.

hd_holidays just posted one such fic. FOOD SMUT FOR THE WIN. I've never read anything quite like this… Powerful and seductive and dirty. I seriously think I will flush every time I pass the freezer section of my grocery store. Under 4 k and *wriggles in my seat* yeah… I'm off to have a bowl. I know there's a strawberry double churn in my freezer.

A very quick post to rec a couple delightfully plotty fics. The first is an Auror!fic that does the classic: forced to be partners with lots of UST and interesting crime investigation very, very well. The second is an 8th year fic that uses portraits of recently dead students and creates a fabulous journey of grief and coming to terms with death as a major focus for 8th year and a fun, fun look at a post-DH friendship (and more) between H and D. Really fascinating stuff.
