Kinkspiration is a monthly-ish challenge to write a particular kink for ANY Fandom, ANY pairing.

Round 6 Challenge:
Kink: Knotting

About the Kink:
Knotting is a kink based on [..] an erectile tissue structure on the penis of canid mammals.

Knotting fic can be found in fandoms containing canon characters with animalistic characteristics, or alien biology. The kink can be a part of a Werewolf AU or Shapeshifter/Skinwalker story, or it can be part of bestiality stories. There are also stories that use the kink with people who are otherwise mundane humans.

Knotting fic often involves elements of Mating, Soulbond, Mpreg or Heat Fic, as well as a whole host of other kinks and tropes.

Related kinks/themes include: Omega-verse type AUs (for more info on this, check out: Alphas, Betas, Omegas: A Primer by norabombay) but any kind of knotting is welcome in this challenge. So a human deviation due to lineage or a curse, knotting the old fashion way (bestiality!), or any kind of kinky shit you want to make up that involves a dick with a knot at the base.

This kink is not restricted to penetration or tying during sex; the existence of the knot, the discovering of it and/or fantasizing about it all count.

You don’t need to sign up/tell me you are writing/tell me you lost your muse. This is all very casual. This is just get people playing with this kink. If you are late, it’s no problem at all but it’s awesome when fandom is flooded with a particular kink in a variety of pairings and fandoms all in one day.

Earlier, novemberlite and I announced Round 5 will be Role Playing, with posting on February 23rd . But we’ve decided to make a little change. Our apologies to anyone who has their entry ready and waiting.

We are delaying the posting date of round 5 to Thursday, March 8th and we’d like to expand the challenge to include an ‘Open Round’ which means any of the kinks showcased in previous rounds qualify. Art or Fic on the topic of: Bestiality , Crossdressing,
Slave Kink , or Underage are all welcome to be posted during round 5.

We are also taking this opportunity to announce that after this round is posted Kinkspiration will be on indefinite hiatus.

Because of that, we may get a wide variety of examples of underage this round. Okay so January 10th is FOREVER AWAY. We know this. But we need November to not fail at merlin_holidays (and so do many of you... *modly scowl*). And December is also an insane time for everyone soooo... there will be lots of writing/drawing time for this one.

We’ll be posting reminders and discussions during November and December to get you guys inspired.

About the Kink:
Slavefic is a fanfiction genre in which one character is enslaved to another. Some slavefics are set in an alternate universe where slavery is an accepted economic and cultural institution. Some stories treat this as a significant moral problem to be resisted and overthrown if possible; others treat slavery as an unchangeable institution.

What we’re NOT looking for: BDSM fics/art with slavery play. (We LOVE BDSM but for this challenge, we don’t want to conflate these kinks. But the thought was always there, bouncing around between us. So we’ve decided to do something else. Monthly or bi-week depending... We’re going to issue a challenge of a particular kink and a posting date. (no crazy point system or judging, I promise *g*)

And we asking any of you kinky little minxes to join us, if you’d like.
