It's good to be back after being mostly off-line for 3 days. But I did get the opportunity to make breakfast for my mom on Mother's Day and, being 30-something and living 3hrs from her, that opportunity doesn't happen very often. :)
Hope you guys had a lovely weekend.
eta: Also - funny story... so my Dad (who is 83) forgot his book and absolutely cannot sleep without reading first. So he's going through my bookself for books with big enough font for him to read. He chooses
libby_drew's Great Restorations. I (naturally) leap over the couch to say (screech): 'NOT THAT ONE!!'

Date: 2011-05-10 03:26 pm (UTC)For some reason the POV is really putting me off TDC. I wasn't a fan of Mae in TDL so I haven't even given in it a fair chance. :/

Date: 2011-05-10 04:14 pm (UTC)Same for me. The cover had me all O.O and avoiding it. Then when I picked it up and actually started reading, I had the same reaction as you. I much preferred Nick's pov. Maybe Jamie's pov would have drawn me in more? Anyway, that's why I've put it down a couple/few times. Then the cover keeps me away. :( I feel like I'll probably enjoy it (since I like SRB's writing) if I can get far enough along to get into the story.
