Morning lovelies!!!

It's Monday morning! Finally.

Yes, I couldn't wait for it to get here. I live my life upside down. :D

My weekends are an insane blur of children and cooking and cleaning and endless responsibilities. Monday morning means I have a moment to myself, finally. I have a keyboard with an 's' and an 'f' key. (awesome!)

So last night Mr. M and I watched the Merlin 3.04 - Gwaine. We rarely see eye to eye on stuff - IDEK, it's just how our relationship works. He comes at stuff with a totally different perspective than I do. But LOL, I loved his reaction to this ep.

In other news!!!! MEAD!!! I need to know what it takes like. I have a bottle in my wine cellar, but gah! 10 yrs old and I'm really not sure it's meant to age. :/
Do you guys know what mead tasted like back then? Is it different from the stuff we can pick up now? Was it sweet or bitter? The concept of honey-wine makes my throat close up to be honest. :(

I’m sure many of you have seen recs for this first fic, but I do need to write up a rec so I can remember include it in the rec list next time I update. Also it’s really, really fabulous. :D

Gibraltar May Tumble by shes_gone [NC-17] (25k)
Summary: Merlin's life in London is a bit of a mess: his career trapped somewhere between student and professional, his love life trapped in a relationship gone sour, and most days he feels physically trapped in the tiny, shared flat he can't afford to move out of—until an unexpected opportunity sends him packing for the coast. There, he meets someone who might be in a even worse fix than he is: Arthur, a Victorian-era sea captain who's trapped, a bit literally, between life and death, and who refuses to leave the house he died in over a hundred years ago.

Magical Modern AU, Reincarnation fic. This is a bit of fabulous story telling. Arthur, the ghost of a Victorian-era sea captain, trying to get young magical pharmacist Merlin out of his cottage is hilarious. The two snark and snit and goad each other until they manage to become friends and the UST thickens. But that’s really just scratching the surface of this fic. While it starts out as a clever, original Modern AU it graduated to a stunning lovestory full of angst and desire and hope. And it ended with me cemented in my belief of M/A Destiny and the unshakeable epicness of my OTP.

Summary: For the merlinarthurfqf prompt #79: The ghost of Arthur's creepy great, great uncle starts following Merlin around and making lewd comments. Fortunately — or unfortunately — only Merlin hears him most of the time.

Poking around the other day and found a Kick_flaw M/A I hadn’t read!!! This is a wonderful, hilarious tale of Merlin being haunted by a (surprisingly endearing) dirty old man who whispers into Merlin ear all day long and makes him mildy insane and have a perma-blush. Adorable fic.

Summary: She likes Merlin knowing. Like most beautiful girls, she has always enjoyed an audience.

I’ve been looking for a Merlin/Morgana that hits my buttons and captures a Morgana and a Merlin that I can really believe in. It’s actually a really complicated balance of things... But this fic managed it. I can recognise all the characters and understand their motivation. I loved the look into Morgana’s mind and being able to see her as a more complex character than what we are given on the show, while still being S3 Morgana. I’m totally checking out all the other Morganas this author has to offer.
