Warning: Tentacles

I finally saw The Avengers! :)

I tried to go with my sister while I was up visiting my parents but she couldn't make it and I had it in my head that I HAD to see it this weekend. So. I was desperate.

I don't think you can get any more pathetic than going up to see your parents and when they are nearly ready for bed, and half asleep watching the hockey game, you announce "guys, I'm just going to slip out and watch a movie. I'll see you tomorrow."

My dad was like ALONE??? YOU ARE GOING TO THE MOVIES ALONE???

Cheers, Dad. I hadn't realised it was THAT BAD. But apparently. >.>

It's not like I know anyone in the town my parents currently live in. And there were only about 20 people in the theatre. So it wasn't horribly pathetic. Except that it was. Until the movie began… and I totally regret nothing after that. :D

Okay, before I get to my thoughts on the movie, I just want to make it clear that I am just about to mod a (hopefully) very large HP fest and I'm deeply committed to the Merlin fic I am currently writing (and the two other plot bunnies I have in my head). For those of you who are saying 'not another fucking post about how great shiny new fandom is… ' please to scroll on by. I'm not leaving anything, but I will squee and gush without guilt.
