sooooo... I almost died in the dr's office. D:

By which I mean he told me to 'breathe deep' as he checked my lungs and I started coughing... coughing so bad I couldn't breathe, tears rolling down my face. I couldn't do anything. D: Every time I tried to say a word I would just start coughing again. There's a reason I've been avoiding 'Deep Breaths' for a couple month. *sigh*

He was trying his best to be patient and continue on with the appointment but I couldn't say a word. Finally he took pity on me and handed me some prescriptions and left me with my water bottle and kleenex until I could calm down again.

As I left the waiting room full of people were all like: OMG ARE YOU OKAY???

D:

/mortified.

ANYWAY. Not pneumonia (yet). It's bronchitis? I guess. Hard to tell what he said while I was gasping for air. So I now have antibiotics and an inhaler. Pharmacist warned me that the inhaler might make me hyper. GUESS WHAT IT DOES!!! HI!!!! WHAT IS THIS ENERGY I AM FEELING????

is a totally fun read and perfect for dr's office reading. My heart is all squishy for romantic comedies.

Actually it might be an infected windpipe?? I had something very similar a month back. I wasn't able to take deep breaths AT ALL, especially in the evenings. I had a nasty cough and when it was at its worst, whenever I coughed I wouldn't be able to get any air in and it felt pretty scary! I was on a train from Paris to Brussels and people were looking at me like they thought I was dying :p
The doctor listened to my lungs and... nothing, so no pneumonia. Finally he prescribed cough syrup (not just any cough syrup, I can look up which one if you like) and the doctor told me it would probably last at least another week but I wasn't going to die ;) He said antibiotics or an inhaler wouldn't help me... Hopefully they help you though... Hope you get well soon!!!
EDIT: also, the cough, if it is an infected windpipe, is non-functional meaning you can't really 'cough it out' (hence the need for something calming the cough)
