So this fic is pretty much perfect. Brilliant Peter and Stiles dynamic. So much push-pull, mind games, power games, really really questionable seduction tactics. Author makes it clear that this is not a healthy relationship, and it’s all the better for it. I loved that while Peter was obviously in control and messing with Stiles’ head, Stiles isn’t simply a victim here. He played the game too, giving almost as good as he got. Super hot fic.

Summary: Isaac wakes from a nightmare.
A nice Isaac/Derek non-pwp and just the sort of thing I really wanted to see after watching Isaac’s reaction to Derek ‘training him’ with violence -- dude, not cool -- where we get to see Derek ~understand Isaac and work with him to try to deal. Nicely heart warming.

Hot like burning and just the right amount of feels. Even though this is just a PWP, I LOVED the Isaac characterisation. There was a lot of depth there in his conditioned belief that there are all these ‘rules’ of what he is allowed to do and not and Derek in Alpha mode adds a mess of confusion to all Isaac’s issues.

Great characterization. Witty dialogue. Interesting plot. AND Peter/Stiles. God, I love a fic that gives good Peter. There are warnings for dub-con here but it’s all pretty consensual, imo, and shockingly in character while consensual. So that’s impressive. While I would have enjoyed a few more thousand words to stretch out the ending, this was a really great read.

This is a rare Scott/Derek, made even more rare with Bottom!Derek, Submissive!Derek. This really worked for me because Scott doesn’t take to the role of Alpha easily and Derek understands himself well enough to know he's not a good leader and not comfortable in that role. The fic takes its cues from Scott's first full moon in S1 (as this will be his first full moon as an Alpha), rather than the every day adorable puppy dog Scott. The whole scenario was hot.

First, a note of warning, the fic begins with disturbing imagery of animal cruelty and mutilated babies. NOT FUN THINGS OKAY. But suffice to say these bad guys are BAD. It's pretty much over after the first three little sectiony things, so if you need to skip it, do so but the remainder of the fic is not nearly so stomach turning. Onto the rec! This is a stunning fic. One of the best I've read in this fandom in terms of plot and characterisation. The tension is constantly high without being melodramatic. I wept (sobbed) at parts. I burst out laughing. I felt every moment of this fic. An amazing read. Stiles in this fic owns my heart now and forever.

I wasn’t sure how I would like this fic. Stiles a vampire? in the TW-verse? Not necessarily what I’m looking for. Except... wow... this verse. It’s so much more than I thought it would be. The results of vampire Stiles and werewolf Derek is incredibly hot. So many kinks of mine right here. Like holy shit. SO MANY. I would eat up a sequel to this in a second. <3

As both a reader and writer this fic made weep at the very pretty prose (as a writer because I wish I had a thimble full of this author’s gift for words). The writing was stunning without ever being pretentious or overly floral. The premise of the fic was simple and quiet; the execution was brilliant. The characterization and dialogue choices made every word come alive and I could hear Derek and Stiles voices so clearly in my head. And beyond that the story itself, the personal journey that these two broken people traveled here is wonderfully heartwarming. And dammit the sex was scorching too. So what are you wait for?
