I like a good Stiles voice (sometimes people over do it), and a Derek who is not too fluffy (and we shall avoid the standard fur joke here LOL). (you nailed both perfectly in the Curiosity fic by the way)
I generally am not a fan of AU but 1001cranes has a couple great ones. Hot porn is always good of course :)
Really though, my bulletproof thing is good writing and good characterisation.
Angst is something that works fine in limited quantities. But I've seen it horribly overdone too.
(I love AO3, but it is a bit hard to navigate when you don't have an account to help keep track of stuff)
