We are still all technically on vacation around here and this week is packed with 'stuff' but today I managed to get my pthon submitted, next chapter posted of Sabrina fic and the penultimate chapter of said fic sent off to beta and my last chapter finished in rough ... *bows* yes, indeed, I was productive today. :D

(in short bursts of 10 minutes online here and there)

Now to finish reading pthon challenge 3 entries! I've only gotten through Group A but I'm a little stunned by the quality. Also the subject is far more to my taste than last week's so YAY!!! Easy reading. :) If you are looking for lots of lovely pwp's Summerpornathon Challenge 3: Non-Human Characters. Voting closes Friday! Though you could just read and enjoy, if you prefer.

ALSO!!! I haven't recced in ages because I've been too busy to read. But I'm absolutely loving Thistledown which is a WIP, but so damn delightful. Merlin's a girl (born that way, but wonderfully IC) and is in a convent about to take orders when she saves a young knight and let's him have her cot. The premise is so fucking hot and the author went all out. It's on chapter ... um... 64? at the moment. The fic is epic and beautifully told. Maybe not everyone cuppa, but it's totally mine. ;) And the first few chapters have some wonky dialogue syntax? idek... but that goes away. and you can tell the author is very devoted to the storytelling and in making girl!Merlin a fascinating character.

There is one called Shelter from the Storm (I think?) which is lovely but I have no idea about how close to finishing. Everything else I'm reading on there is pretty much just started. (Small Weird Love is beautiful, only just begun though, Also, there is Together We Are Stronger which is up to part 22 I think, which is brilliant but not for everyone as themes are somewhat sensitive.)

If you like historical though, there was a fabulous one called Viking's Slave, and it's complete- the author de-anoned, and it's Rotrude, It's AWESOME. She posted to her AO3. It has everything. In fact, now I want to re-read it.

You're welcome! I'm glad my rec was convincing. I keep getting more and more into it and more and more impressed with the story as it goes along. And, you know, medieval road trip fics are hard to come by. :)
