I havent seen The Avengers either, I will be going this week to see it that and "What to expect". Everyone on my flist though is in love with The Avengers and already have OTP.

As for fandoms, I'm actively involve in Merlin (Arthur/Merlin), NCIS (Gibbs/DiNozzo), Suits (Harvey/Mike), Sherlock (Sherlock/John) XMFC (Erik/Charles), Star Trek (Spock/Kirk), Harry Potter (Ron with either Harry, Pansy, Draco, Scorpius)..... I know crazy fandom ho0r. Lol!

I read other fandoms but not often. I have toyed with SuperNatural and Hunger Games but not enough to even consider cheating. I feel like a bad fandomer enough with one fandom, I would be pants with multiples.

No! Your devotion is admirable! I don't tend to hop fandoms. I was in Buffy until I wasn't. and then nothing caught my interest until HP and I was devoted 100% for years. Then Merlin wasn't supposed to be a thing. Then in was. :/

And now... well, I'm tempted just for a few new cool fic to read but I hate spreading myself even thinner to I'm trying to keep two feet on the ground.

I've always been in several fandoms at once. I have several main ones, and then several minor (that I read in only occasionally).*

HP is one of my main fandoms, Merlin is one of my minor, and One Direction...I want to check out for curiosity's sake. ^^

Yeah, I'm big on having 'minor' fandoms. I guess Dr Who and Once upon a Time are minor, then Merlin and HP are 'main' fandoms. I like that designation. :)

I tend to wonder in and out of fandoms. It just depends on what is in going on at the time, and how active thoes around me are. There are also fandoms that I still fangirl over, but only read fic from ever once and a while. I also have fandoms that I still am into for art. I have 3 fandoms that have BB this summer that I am doing art for, but other then the story I am creating art for I can't tell you the last time I read any of the stories. I guess I am saying there are levels of partiapation, but I don't think that I will ever leave any of my courent fandoms.

I don't know how to answer your questions! I still love Merlin fandom, but I'm done with the show. And right now there's nothing else I'm interested in. I loved The Eagle for a while but that ship has sailed for me. I'm trying to get my head around the possibility I might be without a fandom in the not too distant future, and that's actually a bit scary!

I totally understand being done with the show. But I hope fandom keeps seducing you to stick around and keep writing. It's certainly a fandom where intimate knowledge of every episode is really not necessary.

I find the straddling of fandoms easy enough to do. My Merlin/HP time is spent on LJ, whilst the Glee side of things tends to be more Tumblr based. BUT where I struggle is the overload of plot bunnies for all these different fandoms that just have to be written RIGHT THIS INSTANT!!

Plus, more fandoms means more fests that I try and fail to resist the lure of :/

I think on LJ once you are in a fandom, you can cocoon yourself into a focused flist and it's hard to jump into a new fandom, sometimes. I also find A03 directs me to different writers/different fandoms that I would not have found through LJ.

Merlin is my new fandom, though I'm still quite active and writing in the old one. I can absolutely see that coming to an end in the not too distant future- I just don't feel the love there anymore. At the moment, Merlin is my home, but I also dip my toe into Inception, Avengers (Tony/Steve, GOD! UNF.) and sometimes all kinds of RPF. Just for the hell of it, you know.

To clear my poll answers up a bit. I'm mostly steadily where I am. I don't even think I'll go anywhere else past Merlin. And more than one show to fic about would be too much. But I'd drabble willingly about three things (OUaT, The Borgias, and erm, the Avengers you haven't yet seen.)

I don't think I've ever been in just one fandom lol, there are too many shiny amazing things out there to limit myself and I read a lot so I have to be in more than one fandom not to run out.

Avengers is AMAZING!!! Definitely my newest fandom and I adore it and am currently reading all things! It's really great because Merlin is pretty quiet right now (can't wait till pornathon and big bang posting!) and my other fandoms in general don't pick up till the new seasons start.

The Avengers is awesome, and I would totally devour me some of that porn if I could. Thor/Loki doesn't really interest me but add Captain America or even Tony Stark in to that and uh, yeah. Yes, please!

if you meant active then I'm pretty sure Merlin/Arthur is a dead end for me. I can't say that it will be forever and ever, but it will be at least a few more years for sure.

if you meant passive then I'm really starting to enjoy Sherlock, X-Men First Class and Avengers stories. But yeah, even in passive category, Merlin/Arthur is a clear winner. xD

Fandom-wise, it's Merlin (Merlin/Arthur, Gwen/Arthur, Merlin/Morgana, Morgana/Arthur... just about every single ship, I totally whore these characters out to each other -- there just needs to be one huge orgy and everyone can be happy), ASOIAF (I've yet to start watching the show, but I'm slowly making my way through the books, and I'm hugely in love with a crack!ship already! :D), and Star Trek (Kirk/Spock -- I read it like crazy, but I don't write it, not yet anyway -- I adore my crazy boys who are crazy).

Now I must return to writing paperlegends fic and start outlining my het_bigbang fic (which is going to end up in the Little Bang category, if only for the sake of my sanity). ;)

I've always "been in" the DC Comics fandom but since I tend to lean to the animated universe, how active I am depends on if there's a show. I was really active some years ago with JLU and other shows/movies, but it died back for a while. Now that Young Justice is on the air that's been keeping me active.

I still like Merlin and I still participate in it, but not nearly to the extent of last year and the years before. Still I don't leave fandoms. I shift the focus of my primary fic reading and gif making, but I actually still go back to fandoms I was in ten years ago and read their fic from time to time. I wouldn't know what to do without multiple fandoms.

Yay for fandom open relationships \o/ And I participate to various degrees in different fandoms--I tend not to read too much in music fandoms, merely listen obsessively to the songs while I read or draw for other fandoms :D

I consider myself in Merlin and HP for fic and art. I'll occasionally do Merlin RPF, and read articles/show updates. I don't tend to follow the actors from HP.

I'm in One Direction and McFly for the music, and I'll watch/read interviews, performances, and look for pictures... which usually leads to drawing. :D I'll probably get tempted into 1D fic at some point, 'cause some of my writerly friends are getting into them :D

I'm dabbling in to SPN, and J2 RPF oddly enough, through fic. I'm also tempted to go back and watch the show, LOL.

I have a feeling I'll get pulled into Avengers, though I haven't seen the movie yet.

Hmm, I don't know if I answered the poll completely accurately - 1. because I've only been active in two fandoms ever, so while I ticked "a struggle and I find myself completely losing interest in my old fandom" it's kind of difficult to definitively say I can't be involved in more than one fandom at a time; I've just never had that happen to me. 2. I'm still in love with my old fandom - as in I still buy merch for it and would devour anything from the original creator - I'm just not really into reading or writing fic for it anymore. 3. I'm way into shows/books/movies that aren't Merlin, but don't have the urge to do fandomy stuff for them.
