Monday! Hello there, Beautiful.
I had a lovely weekend but it went by ridiculously quick. I had my BFF from uni over for a ‘sorry we haven’t spoken for three years but life happened’ dinner. It went extremely well. Her two girls beat the crap out of my two boys in a pick up game of hockey in our basement. Also, she brought us this wine and I have to say it was one of the best wines I’ve had in a long time. Not that I’ve been able to enjoy much wine in the last few years. I made chicken picatta but I didn’t make enough. #mortified I forgot to take into account that her girls eat more than my boys (who still eat a small portion of an adult meal). Anyway. Out of practice and all that. Still #mortified. First rule of growing up in my house was that when serving guests platters should never go empty.

I totally read that as her two girls beat the crap out of your two boys, as in attacked them, I couldn't work out why you seemed so happy about it until I read the sentence again!
