ugh. I was all proactive last night and checked every single one of my comms to make sure they were using S2 layouts so that subject lines won't be lost. Only to discover this morning that S2 layout don't have comments now if they disable customized comment pages.

Now I have to go back and flip all those setting. What a waste of time. But at least there is a work-around ... until LJ decides we all need a new 'upgrade'.

Yeah, I did that last night. I still am not happy though because I turned the customize comments page option off for a reason -- I LIKED the nice clean and simple look of the default. (also made it clear when I was on my main page and when I was on a comment page at a glance)

Now I have no choice, if I want my subject lines and drop down icon menu, I gotta deal with the customization look. Lesser of 2 evils. Still makes me cranky though.

I'm still having a lot of trouble with this - I use firefox and for some reason, I still can't comments on my comms that have S2.

I've changed the "Disable customized comment pages for your journal " settings to "No" but unless I'm in Explorer and aside from you and Vayash, can't make any comments at all.

I'm pretty thick about these things, though.

Any help? I've only got a few comms to change, but want to make sure I and everyone who's on them can commment, regardless of browser.

I that if I comment on your journal, it is normal. If i comment on other journals, it's stupid.
