A crazy number of interviews and picture and fan reports has come out in the last couple days, but this one really struck me. First - Colin is gorgeous. I love how his hair looks really wavy /superficial

But I really love what he says about Merlin as a character and his relationship with Arthur and how they connect. Mild (NEW!) spoilers for S4 (blink and you'll miss it).

I love him so much. The thought of Merlin lonely and lost while everyone moves on around him is heartbreaking and I want so much fic centered around that idea (preferably fic in which Arthur realizes this and consoles Merlin accordingly >.>).

One issue, though: I don't really think the whole "Merlin's a servant so they can't be friends" thing makes much sense with Gwen being the one Arthur eventually marries - and, well, there is the whole of S1. HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO DIE FOR SOMEONE BEFORE YOU'RE THEIR FRIEND? THEY ARE ALREADY FRIENDS DAMNIT.

I loved this interview. She was able to ask him some really interesting questions and boy was he giving out the spoilers. Loved what he had to say about Merlin and how he is versus the others - trying to find his role in everything. So sad!

Thanks for these. I'm finally able to log in to stupid LJ and there is so much stuff to sift through. Anything on the blooper reel front? The one I found appeared to have been cut off at the end. I NEED to see Colin do a cartwheel dammit!
