I've been at a soccer tournament all day. 36 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. I'm just wiped. and sunburnt. Need to now make salads for the end-of-season pool party.

That is way too hot, and I can only imagine that the players were roasting! It's inching toward that temperature range here today and it's kind of gross. A pool party sounds like an awesome idea at this point!

I keep reading about the heatwave everywhere else, but it's hard to relate. It's been a grey and soggy summer here on the west coast. Right now it's 18C and overcast, and it's pretty much been that way all summer :-(

I should be honest, and let you in on a little secret: At 30C and above, Vancouverites turn into complete lumps, capable only of eating ice cream, sitting in front of their fans (no one has aircon in the home) and openly praying for rain. Not exactly hardy pioneer stock, lol.

30+ is really quite unbearable really, but it's never NOT 30 here right now. It's impossible to hide from it! But at least it's been windy. That's helped.
