Quick nacho recipe for [livejournal.com profile] cruentum

Nachos:
Put nacho chips on a baking sheet
Sprinkle with grated cheese (I prefer medium cheddar)
Sprinkle with salsa and spiced beef
Bake at 400 for 5-10 minutes (until cheese is bubbling)

Top with chopped tomatoes/onions/sliced jalapenos (optional)
Serve with sour cream and guacamole.

Spiced Ground Beef (this is also the meat I use to make my tacos)
Fry ground beef until browned, then drain the fat.
Add:
3 tbls salsa
1 tbls chilli powder
1 clove of garlic (sliced or crushed)
salt
Let simmer for 20 minutes.

Guacamole
2 ripe avocados (mashed)
if you need more info: How to tell if an avocado is ripe and How to peel and cut an avocado
Mix in:
2 tsp lime juice
Hot sauce (to taste)
Salt/cumin/granulated garlic (to taste)

Guacamole will darken if you leave it out. After you are done put plastic wrap over it (and press the wrap down directly onto the Guac) Place in the fridge until ready to use. Will last a couple days but the top might go dark every with a tight wrap.
