This is a post-S3 fic, with Merlin casting a spell to ‘take on’ Arthur’s pain so he can win a tournament, which is really such a Merlin thing to do. *g* fantastic dynamic between them, and the positive aspects of the spell are so hot.

Um, so ... merlin_melee is some sort of vote-winning contest thingy, right? Am I skewing results by reccing? Should I wait? So confusing!

Oh boys. Communication is important! WORDS! They help in situations like this! This is a gorgeous achy fic, with Merlin and Arthur oscillating between being sexy and hot together and not being on the same wave length and totally misinterpreting each other and to insecure to take the chance on honesty.

Fun in the Pool by eldee Merlin/Gwaine [NC-17] (3k)
Summary: When Gwaine’s in town for the weekend, Merlin goes to visit him. They make good use of the hotel’s pool.

Merlin and Gwaine having fun, flirty sex and just being all happy and in love is such a delight to read about.

LOL. I was thinking the same thing :) I always have those durrr moments though when someone friends me and I'm like, aren't we already friends? because it seems so obvious that we should be and when I realize we're not I just sit there thinking, well, why has it taken so long?? :D
