All HARRY/DRACO RECS

[FIC]
The Big Ben Chimes Stoppage Mystery, or: Ten Things That Draco Malfoy Noticed In The Evening by anon @ [livejournal.com profile] hd_remix[NC-17] (7k)
Summary: Draco Malfoy took a walk in the park when Harry Potter fell from the sky. This story is set on the evening before [livejournal.com profile] lotus_lizzy's gorgeous and inspiring Ten Things That Harry Potter Noticed In The Morning takes place.
A gorgeously written piece that is actually really hard to describe. On one hand it’s a simple trope fic. ‘Harry getting drunk makes them do it’ but it’s like taking that tiny thread of plot and weaving a beautiful complex story around it. It’s about Draco discovering ‘ten things about Harry’ but through that, the reader discovering ‘everything’ about Draco. Beautifully told character-driven ‘Harry getting drunk makes them do it’ tale.

Holly and Hawthorn, Thistle and Thyme by anon @ [livejournal.com profile] hd_remix [PG-13] (31k)
Summary: After the war, Harry can’t shake the feeling that something is very wrong with him and he has a terrible feeling he knows what that “something” might be. He has a terrible feeling Malfoy might know, too.
this is a remix of [livejournal.com profile] mijeli’s storm-broken trees. I’m a huge fan of mijeli’s art (might have mentioned that once or twice) and I think this glorious fic captures everything I love about it. It’s raw and painful, complex. It showcases the animosity that Harry and Draco share, but also their ability to understand each other and sympathize with each other in a way that they can’t with anyone else. Brilliant slow build of their relationship and an amazing post-war character journey for Harry.

My last thought was, she lied in every word (We All Fall Down remix) by anon @ [livejournal.com profile] hd_remix [NWS , Disturbing imagery]
Summary: The original piece is Ring a Ring O'Roses, by the incomparable [livejournal.com profile] melusinahp. This is a figurative interpretation :).
I adored mel’s Ring a Ring O’Roses – it haunted me for days when I read it years ago. This figurative interpretation is brilliant and equally haunting. It kills me to see Draco looking so lost and terrified among the corpses. *cries*

[am going to be off-line hiding from the internets most of the day, trying to get some beta work and some writing done. Cheers.]
