Fic:Away on an upward drift (Arthur/Merlin)

A few weeks ago, rufflefeather organised a little 'chain fic' thingy. She began the fic with her 500-1000 words (or whatever), then fired it off to the next person in the list and they sent it to the next and so on. It actually produced a fic in the end! Then maybelater__ cleaned it all up for us and YAY!! it got posted today. :D

I've done a few of these. NONE OF THEM EVER GOT FINISHED. EVER. I'm pretty chuffed that this one did, and it's lovely! \o/ Thank you co-authors!!!

Title: Away on an upward drift

I was so thrilled to see this finished and posted. I can't tell you how chuffed I am we all came through, and actually produced a decent story. We're from all over the world, with different styles, and yet I thought it read pretty fluently. I'm sporting a huge grin right now!

IKR? It's pretty amazing. I mean the experience of chain writing is a ton of fun, so I didn't mind if it hadn't gone anywhere - it was still cool to write my bit. But to actual POST IT and it's like done and like reads like a real fic. LOL. YAY!

I commented on this yesterday at the journal it is posted at, and I will repeat myself here - an amazingly beautiful, touching, sharp-cut story, with exactly the level of h/c that I love (which, btw, seems to be endorsed by Vonnegut), well-paced and heart-wrenching.
