Everyone loves new friends! I know I do!!! But, for example, if you want to play in the Get Shit Done campaign, you don't need to friend me. I don't want to set up a comm to do this because frankly I mod about 10 comms already and I don't need to set up another! So this thing is going to stay in my LJ but it seems to be growing past my flist and I don't want anyone to feel obligated to friend me.

If you want to be notified every time I post about this, without adding me to your flist you can track my LJ based on the Getting Shit Done tag.

This is also true for following my recs (either the Merlin Recs or HP Recs tags are always used). I make sure to tag my rec entries carefully exactly for this reason. No one should be subjected unnecessarily to my spam. ;)

Hee! I was thinking of setting up a comm for just this. (After asking if I could steal the idea from you ... and [maybe] add you as a mod, along with others). *coughs*

Not this round. And not exclusively HP. I envisioned it being for various fandoms AND original fic, with different people hosting/modding/cheerleading based on what they wanted to do. In other words, a place to go, but not restricted by fandom. But I am nowhere near ready to do anything yet. Just an idea in the back of my mind.

So ... would you mind? Would you want to help mod? Do you want to throw things at me? *g*

Let's do a postmortem when this baby is over and see where this all leads us. It looks like it might be fairly multi-fandom based on the fb I've already received.

ETA: just to clarify after I've had a few minutes to think - I do think if it's done again, a comm is a good idea. I enjoyed informality of ella's version (just a bunch of like-minded Merlin folks poking each other for a few more words) but anything truly multi fandom where you are supporting people you don't necessarily know, it makes sense to be in a comm. I don't think I'd throw my hat into the modding ring. But the idea of this was all ella_bane's so you may want to give her a shout and see if she'd interested in working with you to make her vision more that a one time/one week thing. :)
