Libby has been one of my favourite authors since the very first fanfic I read of hers years ago. She has a sparse, simple style that packs great intensity into small sentences. She tells fascinating plots without compromising the character growth or the dynamics between the players.

But most of you know that, so I'll tell you something new.

Great Restorations is my favourite. Out of everything. Out of every single thing that Libby's written, I like this story the best.
It is a tale about a small town boy hiding himself, living half a life. Living it well, but it's still half a life. Until big city boy walks in and starts to tear down his walls. The UST. SHIT. the UST is fabulous. *squirms* But this story is so much more that hot boys almost kissing and hot boys eventually kissing... it's about family and obligations and secrets and friends and honesty and integrity and ... I'm rambling. :)

So... there's my rec. I couldn't possibly do it justice.

Because it's my favourite.

Hey! I read this way back when on the basis of your rec and loved it...so I was wondering, without meaning to sound too pushy - do you have any other original slash recs?

I have to be honest... I don't read a lot of original Slash. I read this because of loved libby's writing already.

I can tell you a few other fanfic writers that have moved to original slash, but not many I'm afraid.

libby_drew has a few out there besides the one above.
janedavitt has several books out (and I loved her Bound and Determined book, which I've read several times now - but it's BDSM so YMMV!)
diana_copland is an author of fanfic that I like, though I haven't read any of her books yet, she'd definitely someone I plan to read. :)

I actually got Bound and Determined, made quite a bit of headway and then quit half-way through. I'll go back and try to finish it. :D
