2. As of Wednesday afternoon, my computer suddenly would not turn on! I was almost 48hrs without a computer. OMG, it was sooo close to being much longer. *meep* We talked about 'ordering a part' which... *cries* would have been at LEAST a week, maybe two.
3. My house is sooooo clean!
4. I got my kinkfest fic 90% written (pen and paper obv!) but YAY!!! WRITING!!! Finally.
5. Thank you so much to
janedavitt for doing me the huge favour of letting people know where I was. *huge tackle hugs for her*
6. I got to talk to
vaysh11 and
romaine24 on the phone for the first time. *flails* *huge tackle hugs for them too.*
7. In the end, we found this work around! Mr. M and I bonded last night over flashlights and dust and motherboards. Felt like university again. :P
We need to do this every time we shut off our computer at the moment, until we get the parts we need to replace. So... NO TURNING OFF THE COMPUTER! lol.
8. My auction for Haiti relief donations is open until noon. Mel, it's still yours. CLOSED! and the fic goes to

1) Unplug the computer and Crack case and find the jumper for resetting the bios ( right behind the round bios battery)
2) Remove the jumper from pins 2 and 3 and place on pins 1 and 2 for 5 seconds then replace on pins 2 and 3. (Make sure the power is unplugged or this won't work.)
4) Make sure there is no USB devices plugged in fron of PC ( I don't know why but this may be worth investigating for problem)
5) Replace plug and boot the computer. Mine boots everytime after this process but will do the same thing when turned off.

Date: 2010-01-15 02:51 pm (UTC)My husband, God bless him, is a programmer. I know if this had happened to me during the day, I'd be calling him at work begging/crying/promising anything sexual to get him to come home and fix it.
