[livejournal.com profile] isisanubis requested: baking. Here is something slightly more healthy than the brownies I posted a couple days ago. :D

Banana Bread
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3-4 very soft bananas (you can always stick overly-ripe bananas in the freezer so that they are ready for when you want to make this – just peel them when they are still mostly frozen!)
½ cup vegetable oil
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1tsp salt

combine all ingredients well. Add to greased loaf pan or muffin tins.

bake at 350 for 1 hr for loaf

Or 30 minutes if you make muffins

optional – add chocolate chips to make the kids (and adults) love them just a little bit more!

enjoy!

Oof! sorry I am so behind on comments. :/

on a note of weirdness: I got a calendar in the mail yesterday (one of those Re/Max agents advertising themselves). Pretty standard stuff, but the house on the calendar was MY HOUSE! WTF? MY HOUSE! o.O Has Edward Cullen made stalking that cool? Because I was pretty creeped out. On the plus side, the kids think it's damn neat to have a pic of our house all laminated and calender-like. Still, weirdness. o.O *peeks out front window and looks around for cameras*

You are a dangerous woman! There are chocolate chips in so many of your recipes! *loves*

re: your house

0.0 I would find that very unsettling. Shouldn't they use houses that are, you know, for sale?

I know! I almost left out the chocolate chip part because I didn't want to look so... obsessed... but I don't actually make this unless I add the chocolate chips because it's the only way my kids will eat it.

Shouldn't they use houses that are, you know, for sale?
you'd think. or at least if it was an agent I had dealt with before, trying to keep up a report or something. But nope. Completely random. Obviously they walked around our neighbourhood, took pics of every house and got these made as a promo. totally weird.

I had no idea you could freeze ripe bananas and use them when you were ready. All those times I threw them away because I didn't have the time to make muffins! Gah!

Thanks, hon. Sounds like a brilliant recipe. *hugs*

They freeze really well! Just pop 'em in a bag and bob's your uncle. :P

And they thaw very mushy so they are excellent for baking or putting in milk shakes or whatever. but seriously - peel them before they are too thawed, otherwise - ew!

Enjoy.

Thank you so much. This sounds like it'll be amazingly good. As soon as I make some, I'll let you know how it turned out. Much love for you taking the time every day to post these, and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
