bryoneybrynn is a freekin' genius for many reasons. But in this post I am talking about her lovely idea of requesting people's top three H/D fics of the past year. The resulting list is an incredible compilation of recs.

I think it is brilliant! So brilliant that I am going to steal the idea and say, list me your three favourite Next Gen Fics of the past 12 months. By Next Gen, I mean that at least one main character must be a Next Gen kid (this includes: gen, slash, het, cross-gen).

ETA: For simplicity, faynia and I have decided to make this list AS/S-less. So, please no Albus/Scorpius recs. The ASS-only LIST IS HERE! And there is plenty of delish non-ass next gen to pick from.

Pairing Teddy/Albus Severus
Title: The Path of Least Resistance

Summary: Teddy had been clean for barely thirteen weeks the night Albus landed on his doorstep, reminding him of everything he'd tried to leave behind. It's hard to mourn a loss when you can barely acknowledge it's happened. It's even harder when you think you're responsible for it.

Summary: The company of Gryffindors was bad enough. The company of naked Gryffindors – a Potter and a werewolf spawn, no less, and totally unasked for, thank you very much – was outrageous. The company of naked, muscled Gryffindors claiming a sodding Muggle prophecy device had foretold his seduction was just too much to take. All things considered, Scorpius Malfoy really was having a very, very bad week.
