Here's a bunch of WC fics that I really enjoyed.

Title: Interpreting Draconis
Team: AU! (YES! We rock!)
Author: dacro
Prompt: 2. "Time is Galleons, little bro, time is Galleons."
Wordcount: 11,043
Rating: R
Warnings: Implied minor character death.
Summary: Draco, the Deaf son of a wealthy businessman, has always had the best of everything, including a habit for rapid signing and a reputation for having a short fuse. When his father disappears, the interpreters who have been on the receiving end of Draco's attitude and temper refuse to work for him. Enter Harry, our 'new on the block' interpreter with a heart of gold, exemplary skills, and a few secrets in his pocket.

This was a really fantastic, engaging fic. I'm not a fan of non-magical AUs but I could not put this down. I appreciated that Draco's disability did not have a gratuitous feel, it was a character trait and plot point rather than an easy means to pull at the heartstrings. Very well done.

Title: In For A Knut, In For A Galleon
Team: EWE
Author: abusing_sarcasm
Prompt: 2. "Time is Galleons, little bro, time is Galleons."
Wordcount: ~6,200
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Mostly just silliness and innuendo with a splash of boys kissing. Oh, and some spanking.

A very sweet fic. Harry is a right pain in the arse, pulling Draco's ponytail to get some attention and in need of right spanking. A real fun read.

Title: primum mobile, or ten forgotten things
Team: AU, baby!
Author: kirinin
Prompt: 20. Close your eyes and think of Hogwarts.
Wordcount: just over 4,000
Rating: PG
Warnings: None, really.
Summary: The truth: logic isn't in the lump in his throat, in his stuttering pulse. He needs the certainty of his name on someone else's lips, which means he needs Malfoy...

A really neat AU. It took me a bit to wrap my head around the first few scenes but it turned out to be a really interesting, thought provoking read.

Title: Erosion
Team: Epilogue
Author: gibson_fic
Prompt: 8. Episkey heals all wounds.
Wordcount: 8897
Rating: PG
Warnings: None.
Summary: Harry finds himself getting back on his feet and sorting out his life with the help of someone unexpected.

A sweet look at a slow-build post-epilogue friendship and a delightfully in character Harry and Draco.

Title: Harry's Pockets
Team: AU
Author: joanwilder
Prompt: 10. Well, you just let the kneazle out of the bag.
Wordcount: 29,300
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: None.
Summary: Clowns are downright creepy, Harry's always thought, so when he and Luna hire one to work in their Party Props shop, he prepares for the worst.

I'm really liking the originally of team AU. This is a great example. Clowns!!! And really interesting clown stuff. In a believable setting. Very cool. I thought this was a charming fic.

Ah, you are doing recs, finally :-). I've yet to read the bounty of the last two days - Easter got in the way of my reading.

Did you by any chanced read [livejournal.com profile] nolagal's Mixed Feelings (http://community.livejournal.com/hd_worldcup/34345.html). I'd thought you'd love it - well, I did. ♥

Oh, I'm glad you liked Harry's Pockets. I knew I wasn't steering you wrong. But if someone told you that it was a really, really LONG fic in which Draco was a clown, you would probably have laughed your ass off at them, and ran the other way. But, man, that story just works, doesn't it?

I agree with most of your other recs, here too. Erosion, in particular. Very nice.

You and I have very similar tastes in happy fics. I think when it gets a little darker we deviate a bit. :D

but yes, the Harry's Pockets was surprisingly entertaining. Not crack, but a fun read. Your captain did a lovely job with it.

btw - AU really has some interesting and orginal entries. I'm very impressed.
