I have some free time in the next few weeks and my muse kinda calapsed with over-use last night. And I need a few fics to keep me going until the spring fests start to post.

So... REC ME ANYTHING. any fandom, any pairing. Please no make me weep fics (crying gives me a headache and makes me generally bitchy.) But anything else I'll give it a try.

I'm gonna go waaaaaaaay out on a limb and rec Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained (http://www.sargemarcori.com/wordpress/my-fanfics/nothing-ventured-nothing-gained) by the most excellent KD Sarge. It's a wonderful, smutty get-together fic from the Weiss Kreuz fandom (which is an anime based on the premise of four pretty assassin boys running a flower shop together).

I know it's a little crazy to read stuff for fandoms you've never heard of, but that's exactly what I did when I read this, and it was the story that really got me into fanfiction. So if you're feeling adventurous... :)

time to rec some good omens fic ;) if you're unfamiliar with the fandom, here's the wiki link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Omens) about the canon. it's one of my all-time fave books and the fic + art based on it are wonderful too.

1) of adam, moses and tantalus (http://freudian-fuckup.livejournal.com/16839.html) by freudian_fuckup: He wants to be inside Aziraphale in a way that mortals can never be. He wants to tear him open, see what scriptures are carved into his bones, and destroy what makes him holy.

this is by one of my fave remus/sirius and good omens authors, and the summary of the story alone gives me shivers ;)

2) to famine, with most devious intent (http://community.livejournal.com/go_exchange/68926.html) by muselolita: Famine receives a rather unexpected gift. But of course it's not like he'll just accept anything like that without making a few additional demands.

from this year's go_exchange. oh this was just all sorts of naughty. features slight bondage, caning, begging, and just guhhh dirty awesome smut :D

3) along for the ride (http://community.livejournal.com/go_exchange/78937.html) by tenshinokira: A visit. A promise. The illusion of control. Raven gets more than he bargained for when he agrees to teach the newest Horseman how to ride.

another one from this year's go_exchange. this one's dark and has an undercurrent of tension running through it. awesome portrayal of both characters, definitely left me feeling a weird mixture of turned on + creeped out ;)

Farscape John/Aeryn bodyswap!fic with sex. Scientist, Astronaut, and Nymphomaniac: The Nine lives of John Crichton (:http://www.wideopenwest.com/~lshirk0824/scientist.htm") by feldman.

Even if you don't know anything about Farscape, it is so worth reading just for the amazing juggling of pronouns and the really well done porn.

Aw - this is exciting! I can't wait to hear what you think of it. ETA: Also I can't type. And I belatedly saw that you don't want to cry. Not sure if you have to cry about Wind's Tale. I do, every time. But in a good way.

And, um, as for Merry/Pippin ... you know, I never really managed to write Frodo/Sam, somehow they mean too much to me (And Cara does it so much better!). But I wrote a Merry/Pippin story, Coming Home To Crickhollow (http://journeysend.luminousbeings.net/Journey_Crickhollow.html), with a NC-17 rating for sexual content. It even won the Mithril Awards for Best Slash, back in 2004. Should you go there, you will immediately see how much I've learned, writing-wise. But I still love this story to pieces.
