I have some free time in the next few weeks and my muse kinda calapsed with over-use last night. And I need a few fics to keep me going until the spring fests start to post.

So... REC ME ANYTHING. any fandom, any pairing. Please no make me weep fics (crying gives me a headache and makes me generally bitchy.) But anything else I'll give it a try.

Any one interested in the list fantastic list from the first round of this: last month's rec me anything

tbw - I am feeling a little better. Thanks for all the cyber-vitamins and virtual-chicken soup. *twirls you*

The Rec List so far:

(Weiss Kreuz fandom) Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained by KD Sarge
(The Breakfast Club, Brian/Bender) Higher Education by Resonant

I'm gonna go waaaaaaaay out on a limb and rec Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained (http://www.sargemarcori.com/wordpress/my-fanfics/nothing-ventured-nothing-gained) by the most excellent KD Sarge. It's a wonderful, smutty get-together fic from the Weiss Kreuz fandom (which is an anime based on the premise of four pretty assassin boys running a flower shop together).

I know it's a little crazy to read stuff for fandoms you've never heard of, but that's exactly what I did when I read this, and it was the story that really got me into fanfiction. So if you're feeling adventurous... :)

LOL! This is the first rec in a fandom I've never even heard of! I will check it out. Thanks.

Maybe you've already read this, because I remember it being recced around my flist when it was first posted, but if you haven't you really should. It's just amazing.

Higher Education (http://trickster.org/res/higher.html), The Breakfast Club, Brian/Bender.

However, if this was really a shameless plea for more bandom recs (HEE!), let me know and I will pony up.

I'm glad you're feeling better!

A Breakfast Club fic? Bwahahhahahaha!!! ILU, piquiest!

Though I think Frank/Gerard first-time fic are fast becoming a bulletproof kink. ;)

It's one of my favourites! You will love it, I promise.

If you want more recs, just say the word! Or look at my delicious, under the Frank/Gerard and desertisland tags :D

time to rec some good omens fic ;) if you're unfamiliar with the fandom, here's the wiki link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Omens) about the canon. it's one of my all-time fave books and the fic + art based on it are wonderful too.

and here are the recs!

1) of adam, moses and tantalus (http://freudian-fuckup.livejournal.com/16839.html) by [livejournal.com profile] freudian_fuckup: He wants to be inside Aziraphale in a way that mortals can never be. He wants to tear him open, see what scriptures are carved into his bones, and destroy what makes him holy.

this is by one of my fave remus/sirius and good omens authors, and the summary of the story alone gives me shivers ;)

2) to famine, with most devious intent (http://community.livejournal.com/go_exchange/68926.html) by [livejournal.com profile] muselolita: Famine receives a rather unexpected gift. But of course it's not like he'll just accept anything like that without making a few additional demands.

from this year's [livejournal.com profile] go_exchange. oh this was just all sorts of naughty. features slight bondage, caning, begging, and just guhhh dirty awesome smut :D

3) along for the ride (http://community.livejournal.com/go_exchange/78937.html) by [livejournal.com profile] tenshinokira: A visit. A promise. The illusion of control. Raven gets more than he bargained for when he agrees to teach the newest Horseman how to ride.

another one from this year's [livejournal.com profile] go_exchange. this one's dark and has an undercurrent of tension running through it. awesome portrayal of both characters, definitely left me feeling a weird mixture of turned on + creeped out ;)

Thanks aldehyde!

I'll likely just pick one though! Just a little taste of a different fandom is enough for me. :D

Okay, as I take so many of your recs and run with them, I will recc you something. *bg*

You did say any fandom so here we go:

Farscape John/Aeryn bodyswap!fic with sex. Scientist, Astronaut, and Nymphomaniac: The Nine lives of John Crichton (:http://www.wideopenwest.com/~lshirk0824/scientist.htm") by feldman.

Even if you don't know anything about Farscape, it is so worth reading just for the amazing juggling of pronouns and the really well done porn.

for a quick intro to the show go here (http://community.livejournal.com/crack_van/12355.html) for the [livejournal.com profile] crack_van overview.

I know all you HP-ers think hobbit slash is ridiculous, so I am taking the opportunity to rec you brilliant, stunning Sam/Frodo. The author single-handedly converted both me and [livejournal.com profile] frayach to slash and to this extraordinary pairing (which is canon, indeed):

[livejournal.com profile] caraloup, The Wind's Tale (http://bitoflight.luminousbeings.net/Fiction/WindsTale.htm), How does the Ring shape and transform Frodo and Sam's love? PG-13 to R (art by Lorraine)

From: [identity profile] marguerite-26.livejournal.com
OMG! Hobbit Slash! I will totally read that. *secretly ships Mary/Pippin*

But Frodo and Sam sound fab. Woot!

From: [identity profile] vaysh11.livejournal.com
Aw - this is exciting! I can't wait to hear what you think of it. ETA: Also I can't type. And I belatedly saw that you don't want to cry. Not sure if you have to cry about Wind's Tale. I do, every time. But in a good way.

And, um, as for Merry/Pippin ... you know, I never really managed to write Frodo/Sam, somehow they mean too much to me (And Cara does it so much better!). But I wrote a Merry/Pippin story, Coming Home To Crickhollow (http://journeysend.luminousbeings.net/Journey_Crickhollow.html), with a NC-17 rating for sexual content. It even won the Mithril Awards for Best Slash, back in 2004. Should you go there, you will immediately see how much I've learned, writing-wise. But I still love this story to pieces.

hmmm if you want some volume - the slave breaker (http://maculategiraffe.livejournal.com/10338.html) series [livejournal.com profile] maculategiraffe will totally suck you in and entertain you (orig slash - start w/ "Bran")

I doubt I have much to offer as I think we read the same circles and if anything, you read more than I do.

Have you read Lady Vader's Porn Wars (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=dreambastion&keyword=Porn+War&filter=all) and paraphilia's Advanced Charms (http://www.the-archive.net/viewstory.php?sid=4632)? I'm constantly amazed at how many people haven't read these as they're my two favourite pr0ny h/d's. The first is a bit rougher, the second super sweet.

Why Harry Should Not Let Draco Read Muggle Literature by Lomonaaeren is funny too! (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4109359/1/Why_Harry_Should_Not_Let_Draco_Read_Muggle)

Any Fandom?

Okay, I have a very hot Petshop of Horrors fic
<a href="http://telanu.thirteenblackbirds.net/decision.htm>Decision</a> by Telanu (of the Tea Series fame) Long PWP, Hot, you get a very strong feel of character voice in it.

Even if you've never seen a single episode and even if you have and hated it, this is a serious PORNSTORM. Give a couple of chapters a try and let me know what you think.

Have you read Cartographer's Craft (http://sam-storyteller.livejournal.com/tag/cartographer%27s+craft) by [livejournal.com profile] sam_storyteller? Long, but brilliant Harry/Sirius (although probably not what you expect).

Here's an old favourite: Gutter Mouth (http://community.livejournal.com/100quills/352337.html) by [livejournal.com profile] softly_sweetly. And if you haven't read the Training series (http://luckyrory7.livejournal.com/7397.html) by [livejournal.com profile] luckyrory7 you've missed out on some of the best H/D ever.
