Drabble: Unforgivable

I'm in a odd mood this evening. I was searching through my harddrive and found an old drabble I'd written pre-DH. I don't think I ever posted it on my lj as I wasn't in the HP fandom at the time.
alaana_fair this is NOT for you. :D
With a thud, his head hit the cement. Blood, warm and wet, seeped from his nose.
Harry knew he would die young. It was fated after all. Some damned alignment of stars or compilation of tea leaves. The indignity of old age hadn't ever counted as one of his fears.
The last few years, he’d spent countless nights accepting his death. It was predestined, the honour of final victory or loss. In the end it wouldn’t matter.
But this was not how it was to go. He stared at the pale beautiful face that had shared his pillow so often in these dark days. Betrayal turned the blood acidic in his mouth. He spit onto the sidewalk.
His wrist shook as he reached out his wand.
The grey eyes that had given him comfort and hope, opened wide in shock as he muttered his last words, “Avada Kedavra.”
haha! I can try to write the angst... I just can't stand reading it. :D

Date: 2009-01-19 01:26 pm (UTC)Thanks. Sorry for the ouchy. I should have left in blue-eyed!Draco and the mis-spelled Avada Kedavra, it reduced the pain significantly. *g*
