We've received our first fic submission and have a few fucking gorgeous art already. *flails* TWO WEEKS PPLS!!! *pokes your muses*

serpentinelion's Glompfest had every prompt claimed. I'm so thrilled. It's the first fest I've ever heard of where recipients are ALL non-writers/non-artists... the readers and reccers and lurkers that make fandom go round without ever getting to be in the spotlight. Brilliant idea, and I'm looking forward to the results. :D

I loved all your thoughts yesterday on the naming order of the pairings. In conclusion: everyone have their own ideas of which way it should be and why. Each fandom appears to do things differently for different reasons. Luckily, I got the 'final answer' in that merlin_muses listing pairings in alphabetical order. Arthur/Merlin it is!

I can't seem to read! LOL. Now that my 21-day challenge is finally over, I haven't read a single fic. :/ I am very inspired to write, though and la! gift horse! Still it's a bit ironic. y/n? Still, I'm writing like I haven't for ages - starting at the first sentence and following my outline and just... writing each scene in order. o.O No [insert b/j here] notes or [blah, explanation needed] decorating the first draft. it's... really cool. :D

Mr. M drank all my lactose-free milk. !!! No idea why he didn’t drink our regular milk which there is plenty of in the house, other than him saying, “oh, I thought you were trying to get rid of it” WHAT? What? Why would I do that when I can’t get shopping until Saturday and I put milk in my tea and am essentially TEALESS. *plots murder*

Signal Boosting and Fic offer

thisgirl_is has her awareness/fundraising hat on again and reminded me of what I should have done earlier.

She has a post outlining the devastation seen by Pakistan recently and pointing you towards help_pakistan.

For whatever reason, Pakistan is not receiving anywhere near the level of support offered to other disasters in the last couple of years.

This is very true. Canada has very close ties to Haiti and frankly, I heard nothing for weeks but about Haiti's troubles (and rightly so). But I've been heartbroken to hear how Pakistan's tragedy has just not received the same kind of backing. Or perhaps it's just that people are feeling charity-fatigue. IDEK. But I'd love to do my part to help raise money and awareness.

Here's the tricky part. :/ I'm at my limit for writing until 2011. If I am to do this the fic will be delivered Winter 2011 after the holiday fest are over.

Disclaimer: I don't write fast or long. I've written a few fics as a thank you for people who have donated money to certain charities. I've only ever offered to do this when I truly felt I could write something within the given time frame.

I had second thoughts about my original offer, which was up for about an hour. I believe 3 fics of 2k(ish) are more doable to me than one fic of 5k+

Bidding Post for Pakistan Relief Charity fic

THE OFFER: I will write something less than 3k to the top three people who offer below to donate the highest amount to a registered charity taking donations for Pakistan relief.

Pairings and prompt of their choice (within reason). Both Merlin and HP fandoms are eligible. The fics will be written between now and February, 2011, in what ever order inspires me.

Bidding will close at 12:00 PM (Eastern) Thursday August 26th.
