nnnng how did I miss this one? D: So beautiful, Maggie, really! I was about in tears through half of it, and it wasn't the kind of schmoopy breakup fic that I normally see in H/D. This was incredible. Brutal. Realistic. All the missed connections, the stupidity, the jumping to conclusions. Ugh.
Also, I adored how Harry kept the ring. D: It's so sad but so real. It would be so hard to get over that, to get rid of that part of himself, and especially right after the war and thinking of his parent's whirlwind marriage...
