Morning Merlin Recs!

It's been a week now (minus the missed Saturday)! and I'm still going with my daily merlin recs. :) This is a non merlin_hols rec.

Summary: Mordred comes to stay at Avalon Hall and takes a shine to Merlin. Arthur is most unimpressed by this turn of events.

This fic is an outtake of sorts for the Regency AU: Made Glorious Summer by hermette (which is Gwaine/Elena -- and AWESOME, and has Merlin/Arthur as a hint in the background). You do not need to read Hermette's fic to enjoy this. It 100% stands on it's own and is a joy of regency-fabulousness and jealous Arthur. BUT, if you are like me, you've been waiting for a Merlin/Arthur side fic to Made Glorious Summer since the moment that fic was posted.

Summary: They read the entry on the alphas, then Derek crawls into Stiles’s bed and Stiles joins him, and they fall asleep twisted together. He wakes up alone, but there’s a note stuck to his computer. Gone to let the others know about the alphas. Don’t do anything stupid.

A long canon fic! so rare these days! First: the summary implies an established relationship, but it’s not. The fic starts not long after the end of S2, and the plot is dealing with the whole alpha pack threat thing. It has tons of lovely h/c and so much Sheriff. I love questioning, smart Sheriff. And Stiles exploring his ‘spark’, another trope I love. However... you’ll need to scroll past the tumblr tags. Such an awesome way to ruin what is otherwise an interesting fic.

If I Had A Wish (Or Even A Choice) by ladyblahblah

Summary: Stiles has a preference for written porn. He also has a thing for Derek's voice. So when Derek finds his erotica collection, this is clearly either the best or the worst thing that's ever happened to him.

Hot hot hot PWP. I think most of us can relate to the horror of someone finding erotica on our e-reader, but if it turned out to be a super hot guy with a gorgeous voice and he starts reading it out loud. yeah. um. THIS FIC IS REALLY HOT.

Human After All by starsandgraces
Derek/Stiles | 6k | NC-17
Summary: When Stiles digs the cyborg out of the junkyard, his main hope is that it'll do his chores for him. He definitely doesn't expect it to have attitude, demand to be called Derek, or have a serious ulterior motive.

This was not at all the simple pwp I was expecting when I started reading. I love the world the author built here (without actually going into too much detail, it was sparse and intriguing). And Derek was hilarious. and very Derek. I really loved it and I hope the author makes this into a series because there is so much more to tell of this story.
