after the bit of strikethrough insanity this morning, I backed up my journal on dreamwidth. I'm not quite ready to move there, but seeing a bunch of people and comms randomly suspended reminded me why back ups are a good idea. Most of my fics are backed up on AO3, but now it's nice to have a backup of my rec lists and comments fest.

In other news, I went to see my two boys sing O Canada in ASL today at a school assembly. They were awesome. Littlest was perfect, not sure if it was due to the ASL we taught him before he was verbal or he's just naturally inclined to learning sign. Regardless it was super cool. :)

I still haven't seen last week's Merlin but I am 100% as spoiled as I can be. I've been avoiding it because I'm a wuss and feeling emo but Mr. M is like "ENOUGH OF YOUR CRAZYNESS!!! WE ARE WATCHING IT TONIGHT!" so... lol. I guess I will. :)

Teen Wolf Rec

I don't usually read WIPs so I completely missed the existence of this fic, but hardticket sent me a heads up and I'm so happy she did. :D

It's a Sabrina fic!!! Which I ADORE!!! And the author even mentioned The Ugly Duckling Syndrome (Merlin/Arthur) as part of their inspiration. Can't tell you how chuffed I am about that because this fic is really lovely. It follows the very basic premise of Sabrina (seducing someone for nefarious reasons and falling for the act themselves) but outside of that, it is very fresh, not at all a 'retelling' of the movie which was a delightful surprise. I also love that Stiles here is no victim. He has his own ulterior motives and isn't afraid to make use of Derek to reach his goal.

I can't wait for more. :)
