Teen Wolf recs

merlin_holidays matching. (we're almost done! YAY!)
ALSO: I bought The Casual Vacancy today. Loving it so far. Her sense of humour is delightful.
Anyway, here are a few recs for those of you in Teen Wolf fandom:

Fic:
These two fics totally blew all my expectations about Sterek fics out of the water. Just... yeah, my kinks, let me show them to you. Anyone find more fic like this send them my way because while I’ve read a lot of great Sterek fics since entering TW fandom, these are a couple that have just the sort of dynamics between Stiles and Derek that I love to read.

Derek/Stiles [NC-17] (17k)
"Mistletoe was often considered a pest that kills trees and devalues natural habitats, but was recently recognized as an ecological keystone species, an organism that has a disproportionately pervasive influence over its community. In Norse myth, an arrow made of mistletoe was the only thing that was able to kill the god Balder. The goddess Frigg had asked all other things to vow not to hurt Balder, but she had ignored the mistletoe because it seemed too small to be dangerous."
[Oh, God. Derek in this fic stepped right out of canon. He’s so broken and hard to understand at first but in the end his characterisation makes perfect sense given everything that happened to him with Kate. The quasi-relationship thing he has with Stiles is actually quite believable (from a canon perspective) for both of them and also it’s hot like burning.]

Derek/Stiles [R] (25k)
He has no idea what you're supposed to say when you find one of your...werewolf acquaintances, completely out of their mind, growling like they're about to see what your insides taste like. There's no handbook for this. Stiles is thinking that if he survives he might write one.
[After being tortured, Derek turns feral. Like... feral feral... and he sees all the other werewolves as threats so Stiles is the only one he allows to approach him. Love the line the author walked with this one. Excellent Stiles, determined, smart but not without fault. ]
