Teen Wolf (Sorry, I had to do it)

It wasn’t my fault.
It was sort of inevitable, really. I mean, just look at the opening credits...
Ahahha.. okay. Those aren’t the real ones. But um, very appropriate for this post. Because Teen Wolf give me so many Buffy thoughts. To me, it’s like someone went through and studied what it was that made Buffy ~work~ and took the themes and structure and the character ensemble and remixed it and reinvented it and made it work all over again. Which is really, really clever. And actually what happened, yes? But the impressive thing is that they did it WELL. So, nicely done, Jeff Davis.
Okay, first there is this Teen Wolf Primer which does a much better job than I will ever do at talking about this show: Teen Wolf 101: An introduction to the eighth wonder of our world.
I sorta want to just copy out my favourite bits of that and say “THIS!!!” but that would be most it. So I’ll just say READ THAT. And still I’ll write my own piece because I need to get all my thoughts out even if it isn’t worth a read.

So now I’m in this weird fandom space where I am writing HP, reading Merlin fic, and devouring all the episodes of Teen Wolf I can get my hands on.
