This is a really delicious kink!fic. I love the amount of detail that went into the humiliation of having a piercing done their with no time to prepare, in front of an audience. And then from there the pain and emotions that Arthur dealt with (tried to hide) while healing. Very well done. It’s a bit unfortunate that it’s still sitting on KMM in messy comment snippets. Not my favourite way to read a fic, which is why I rarely rec anything long on KMM. But this one is a lovely exploration of a rare kink. Not to be missed.

Come Crashing Down by lolafeist Merlin/Arthur [NC-17, dub-con] (3k)
Summary: Merlin gives Arthur a sample of one of his contraband potions. Then they get it on. Like you do.

A short little PWP that is very hot. It is very dubious in the consent, given Arthur is flying high but yeah… too hot for me (or Merlin) to care about such things apparently. The glory of fantasy.

Summary: Arthur's a sheltered prince who just wants to experience a normal day, Merlin is a reporter after an undercover story so, naturally, they fall in love.

I adore Roman Holiday – it’s one of my favourite movies and somewhere along the line I even prompted for a Merlin version of the movie. So when this popped up I was all over. And the author did not disappoint. Arthur is absolutely charming in his innocence and Merlin is conflicted and unsure about the easy money he could get by taking advantage. It’s true to the spirit of the movie, but very little of it is a re-telling. Absolute fabulous read.
