This fic is an EPIC journey for Gwaine in the post-S3 world. It takes into account the politics and loyalties and secrets that the show is so full of at the end of S3, then tells the tale of Arthur coming into power and Merlin at his side, but all through the eyes of Gwaine who is looking at it all from the outside and for the most of the fic, very far away. And behind all that 'plot' there is a lovely tale of romance and long distant relationships. Incredibly well done and a nice slow burn sort of fic.
