I have a sick kid home and it’s making me all cranky pants. :/

So I’ll talk about stuff that makes me happy. Like hp_kinkfest, which has started! *\o/* And GSD! Which is now done. I’ll be writing up a closing post sometime today. Such a great success! *\o/*

And like the Merlin Wankfest which has a fantastic collection of filth. The main post has a list of all the entries (below the NWS banner). I’ve loved so much of everything there that I hate to point out anything in particular because I’m going to forget something... But everything there is worth a read, so many author’s I hadn’t read before! And a few gems that I’m going to pop on my Gwaine recs for sure.

Also!!! Last night ninja_orange recced an Uther/Merlin! It was soooo good. Cheers for that:

I love when this pairing is done like this and it’s not ‘too dark’ just... dark enough to be in character. No idea if that makes any sense. LOL. But Uther and Merlin 'role playing' that Merlin is a sorcerer is fucking brill. And plays on Uther being oblivious while the reader understands the irony, which I kinda love like a crazy loving thing.

Also! Was in the mood for something ‘older’ and as always, I poked around frogspace’s fabulous rec list and found:
Cutting Room by reveuse2 (Bradley/Colin, ~19,700 words) – which I adored, and I'm sure you've all read. :D

You guys that have been around for a bit remember how I was once a little lame and idealistic. But I hoped people will participate in a self-pimp meme anyway because sometimes people just want read your fics (view your art) but want you to make it easy on them? Remember how that was fun and lots of people found new stuff to read and look at?

Well – I want to be that person again. I discover new writers and artists and new friends and I look at masterlists and I don’t even know where to start. I bet lots of people are like me and want a big flashing sign that says: START HERE! It’s my best work!
