the dynamics of fests

hd_worldcup, hp_springsmut, or hp10k_showcase.
heh. That's a lot of fics that I won't be seeing popping up on my flist. :/
I know there are plenty of other fests, and HDworldcup and 10k were both plenty controversial. But they certainly gave use plenty to talk about didn't they? :D
Fandom changes, I'm not bemoaning that fact just observing the rather quiet spring we'll be having is all.
And just so I don't get shot at for not mentioning those that are posting this spring, we havehp_rarities for the rare pairs and hd_parallel and hd_smoochfest to give us HD love (which are posting late spring/summer). And surely a million others that I'm not following.
