Alone! er... not really. I still have one munchkin, but otherwise guests and husbands and other children are out of the house! Woot! I haven't had a proper moment alone with my keyboard since Dec 22nd. *strokes keyboard lovingly*

Things to do today and tomorrow to catch up!

1) pet my poor inbox. I'm sorry darling for deserting you. My apologies to anyone who sent me something over the hols and received no reply (or a really lame one). :(

2) try to catch up on flist. I'm been skimming for almost two weeks, if you made an entry that you want me to see (or think I'd be interested in something) don't be shy, send me a link please!

3) catch up on comments. I've been reading and reccing, but I've left like no comments lately. *meep* I need to go back and do that!

4) hp_kinkfest stuff

5) I'd love to do that end of year writing meme (if nothing else, it will poke me to update my masterlist)

6) post another rec for hd_holidays. Woot! Thank you to the mods for giving us 2 weeks to catch up before reveals.


I had a lovely Christmas and New Years! We had a lot of fun with the kids and all the visitors. I hope you did as well. I missed you guys lots, though. *clings*

Fantastic! The writing in this fic is excellent, a nice balance of hot and poignant and detailed with a great flow to it so that you are thinking about that is happening and not about the writing… you know what I mean? I adored Draco's characterization and the way that Harry interacted with him. It had a great canon feel to their dynamic and this post-DH world and the Malfoys's to it felt very natural as did Draco's motivation. Also, the potion is ingenious.

Does anyone know when the first Harry Potter fests began?

My mind is a strange place today...

I know in BtVS, there was something called Secret Slasha that was posted at Christmas. It was running since 2001.

In April 2003, I ran something I call a Flashfic-a-thon which was an exchange based fest with a ton of convoluted rules. *headdesk* It became quite popular and spun off into a million different fests of that type in BtVS.

Does anyone remember how things started in HP?
