I am so excited for this. I have much love for unusual careers, and not necessarily in the crack!fic genre. I also mean really great, serious fics that have believable careers for these boys. Where the careers may not even be driving the plot, but simply add to the complexity and originality of the fic.

RECS of GREATNESS!!

pushdragon posted 5 ficlets last week! *wants a timeturner to go back to last week* They are all beautifully written and each quite different. 2000 words of porn and angst and politics and power and yes, God, yes. More dammit! Please come back! *weeps*

Harry/Draco Here on the shoulder of the impossible Push writes this little fic in gorgeous, lyrical prose that make my heart ache. The magic just hums and the glimpse of a back story slaps you.

Harry/Lucius The Unexpected Diplomat Reliquary universe, 10 years after the epilogue. Everyone who read Reliquary had to be begging for this one. Where did they end up? Who did Harry become? Did Lucius disappear forever? We have answers. Pretty, pretty answers. *melts*

Harry/Draco Undiluted, ill-reputed, convoluted nnnnngh. Put Cal's request for no-frills porn in the hands of a master and yes, please. More, please. Hot and desperate and wanton.

Lucius/Sirius The Siberian Quickstep This is a clever look at Sirius post-Hogwarts, pre-James's death. He is not characterised as the cocky, fearless brat we often see. He is a Pureblood, a Black. There is a darkness in him that pairs so well with Lucius.


On to non-Push recs:

Has anyone not yet seen raitala's The Sectumsempra Scene??? Heavens! Why not? It's is complete brilliance. All you casual HP fans on my flist, click this one! I'm afraid the movie will pale in comparison.

Hero Worship
by snegurochka_lee this is one of those 'ignore the pairing, just see the author's name' and CLICK! Ok, so it’s Charlie/Viktor, but whatever… it's fantastic. James II and Albus Severus steal a bit of the show from the old folks, they are really well done, clever and funny teenage additions to an otherwise simple PWP. Really brilliant fic. Anyone who doesn't have an ij can post a comment on her LJ post

Another Harry/Draco! By the uber talented mahaliem. Hills Like Bumps, Only Bigger is wonderfully written. Funny and sweet and subtle and… not so subtle. A huge cast of characters for this tiny fic, but each is done well. I simply adore it.
