Catching up on the weekend 10k posts:

Title: Founder's Ball
Author:[livejournal.com profile] rickey_a Illustrated by [livejournal.com profile] raitala
Pairing(s): Harry/Draco (and a dash of Luna/Susan on the side)
Rating: R
Warning(s): None, unless you need to be warned for a smidge of Femmeslash
Word Count: ~9930
Summary: Hogwarts has four houses and one representative from each is required for the rededication ceremony.

Waiting patiently for a 10k Showcase fic that doesn't make you cry? This is it! This fic sparkles with its magic. It is wonderfully romantic and beautifully told. Harry must choose from his fellow students, one from each house for a rededication ceremony. The four choices (Harry, Draco, Luna and Susan) are perfect embodiments of their founders and together they bond and heal Hogwarts for generations to come. The feel of this fic just sweeps me away with romance and magic and such powerful imagery.

Title: The Thread Measurer's Apprentice
Author: [livejournal.com profile] sansa1970 Illustrated by [livejournal.com profile] raitala and [livejournal.com profile] oldenuf2nb
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Rating: PG
Word Count: ~9,000
Summary: A mysterious letter saves Scorpius' life. When Draco discovers who sent the warning, a most unusual partnership is born.

This is a fantastic plot in the hands of a master storyteller. Harry's gift/curse creates so many moral dilemmas that the reader is left thinking long after about difficult decisions. I'm at a loss as to what else to say without being spoilery. A stunning fic that leaves you awed and happy.

I'll be back later to rec a [livejournal.com profile] hp_springsmut fic! I am so behind on everything. *whimpers*
marguerite_26: (PotH scorpius)
I just finished The Administration Series and I feel like I've been neglecting everything for weeks. I haven't written, I haven't kept up with reading, I owe so many comments… yikes! And yet I'm sitting here thinking… if I keep refreshing Manna Francis's website, will the next chapter appear?

It doesn't!!!

Ah well, I need to move on, yeah? So, I turn back to my poor neglected Harry/Scorpius. Three recs for you.

from [livejournal.com profile] hp_springsmut:
Title: There's Something About A Malfoy
Rating: NC-17
Pairing(s): Harry/Scorpius, Charlie/Draco
Summary: Charlie has no room in his drawers for anyone else's skivvies, Harry wallows in moral agony for a bit, Draco wants to rebuild his life, and Scorpius just wants Harry to stop being an idiot. And there's something wicked in the forest. If they're going to stop it, they're all going to have to work together.
Warnings: Rimming and other sexual activities.
Word Count: 27,500 give or take.

27k! This is a very plotty fic, but also packed with delicious porn. I was a little nervous when I saw the two pairings. I think it is very tricky to pull off two rare pairs and still be believable. But I really enjoyed it. Both pairing were handled well, as was the characterisation of the four. The Harry/Scorpius was delish. Great Head Auror/Trainee UST. Scorpius is just how I like him, flirty and confident on the outside and squishy in the middle.
[livejournal.com profile] accioscar – possibly not for you, but this is certainly borderline. Let me know if you want more details.

And two recs of drabbles (that are really not drabbles) by the most excellent [livejournal.com profile] pushdragon. For someone who has never touched Scorpius and frankly wishes the epilogue would burst into flames (despite the damage caused to bookshelves around the world), Push has a fantastic grasp of his character. Such an excellent writer! I am selfishly pleased that she's written these. Not only are they lovely, but I'm hoping that people who normally would never touch Harry/Scorpius will be lured to the pairing because Push's writing is irresistible.

Title: Last drinks in the underworld
and
Title: An uncommon ambition (you'll have to scroll – or better yet read! – past the first not!drabble for rickey_a to get to this one)
Both are likely rated R (to be safe, probably less) and around 1-2k.
If you've never poked your head into H/Sc, give these two a try.

Did I mention I'm flying Harry/Scorpius at [livejournal.com profile] crack_broom in April? Woot! *glee*
