I'm so very stuck at the transition from talk to action.

I know the feeling. I had the same issue with my H/R/D fic. My advice: re-read what you've got so far (NO EDITING, JUST READ) and then immediately go do something mindless, like make some tea or smoke a fag (if you do that) or whatever, and just think. Think about what the characters would do next, and it'll come to you. THEN GO WRITE IT DOWN RIGHT AWAY BEFORE YOU FORGET XD

That's what I do, anyway. It usually gives me the most natural reactions/dialogue when I reach a rough patch in my writing flow.

I basically do the same: re-read and use what I've written so far as a jumping board to get back into the story. The problem is that this story is split up over a larger amount of scenes in time, it's not just a single event. And I'm so sick of them talking through issues. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough. Or maybe I should tell them to bring on the action. :-) I kind of know what comes after, but I don't know how to get there. I might need a kink counsellor. Lol.

But hey, there are still a few more days to go, and I'll try again tomorrow.

Well, you don't want to force it, because I've been known to do that myself when I get frustrated and then the writing comes out sounding just that way - forced. Maybe just look for little bits of the talking where you can incorporate some more body language and maybe some lingering touches, and it'll just come out naturally.

And yes, sometimes your brain just needs a break. At least get up and do something else for a while, then try coming back to it.

Good luck!

Thank you!

I always think that even the crappiest text is better than nothing, because it can be edited, while to edit nothing is ... not an option. ;-)

A break - and then coming back. *nods*
