*dolphin noises* I really loved this fic. I loved that it was really different from a lot of modern royal AUs because first, MAGIC! but also that magic is an essential part of the verse and well known and second, Merlin and Arthur having a history together that they’ve both basically been denying because MAGIC blurs consent sometimes. So this is a mix of the following tropes: post-breakup, royal au, soul-bonded, forced marriage... and it just works.

Every time I read the summary I'm like 'Why haven't I downloaded this to my kindle already?!' But then I see the 'genderbending' tag and that's what stops me... Girl!Merlin really isn't my kink, but if you say I should read thsi all the same...

So... Merlin has the magical capability to turn himself into female. But he is male throughout most if the fic. Though for heir producing purposes he,ll flip. So.
