When I need a little mojo burst I think about tried and true tropes and let my mind wander on that for a bit... and see if my brain can't come up with some simple scenario that will feed my muse enough to get a few words out.

Or a simple concept. like... sniffing. Chante WRITE ME 100 words inspired by SNIFFING.

Well, no, I'm writing Eagle... and GK once in a blue moon (literally, only happened once so far)... and I'm trying to write other stuff...

But here I was, going to write my SERIAL KILLER WEREWOLF LAVENDER BROWN fic, and it's hard to keep going, and I thought I'd do Lee's infidelity advent, and it's all kind of not good enough (http://chantefable.livejournal.com/118081.html) and now I can't even write Draco/Victoire for the LULz.

I shall try sniffing!fic right now. *hugs* 100 words of sniffing...

I was going to submit all of the fics I've saved on delicious as 5-star (I use a 4.0, 4.05, 4.1, 4.15, etc, scale), but it turns out I have 41. And anything I give a 4.7 and up is something I really, really love, so... yeah, gonna have to do some paring, I guess!

I'm going to be the person that says this but... this is a very strange list and I'm not entirely sure I'm comfortable with someone trying to make a comprehensive 'rec' list just because current fandom stuff is going to get more attention than stuff from the beginning of fandom.

Oh, I definitely know what you mean. I think of it more as a way to get people thinking about/reading Merlin fanfic again to keep up fandom momentum.

I don't think anyone could take a list like that and imply it's a definitive guide or anything. Obviously the fic that are going to be represented are those that are liked most by the type of people who are willing to add to this list, current fics are more in the forefront etc...

it's just a bit of fun and encourages reading is all.
