About a year ago, Victoria was engulfed by fires and my flist was filled with spontaneous acts of human decency. Now Haiti has suffered a devastating earthquake, and I'd like to do what little bit I can.
Haiti has been a nation teetering on the edge of disaster for decades. Its economy is shot to hell, buildings and infrastructure are crap, and international aid agencies there are already stretched in the wake of multiple cyclones in the last few years. They need help.
She is offering several 'services' to the highest bidder. Go check it out. :)
I've written a few fics as a thank you for people who have donated money to certain charities. I've only ever offered to do this when I truly felt I could write something in the near future. I really want to do this for Haiti, which is a county that has pulled at my heartstrings since I was child. My plan is to drop out of![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
dracobigbang and take that time to write something for this. (Please don't think I'm being a martyr here, I have been debating on dropping out for weeks – but this is an excellent reason to do something else).
I don't write fast or long. :P
But I will write something longer than 5k likely less then 10 to the person who offers to donate the highest amount to the Red Cross Haiti fund. Pairing and prompt of their choice (within reason). At this point I am not offering to write sequels as part of this. sorry.
Bidding will close at 12:00 PM (Eastern) FRIDAY JANUARY 15th.
Please note: authors much better than I are doing this, so you know… choose wisely:
