marguerite_26: (A Little Unwell by Ambs)

a little unwell

In case you were wondering - and I'm sure you were - reading One Truth three times yesterday and discussing it in great detail (including possiblities for prequels, sequels, and parallel fics with differing POVs) for hours on end, results in a really SHITTY night's sleep.

I don't remember my dreams - thank goodness - but they were rather unpleasant and I was forced to keep waking myself up to shake off the feeling of wrongness.

Not that I regret a moment of it.

Hi, I've been doing a bit of homework and I'm going to say that my official guess is: [livejournal.com profile] tuawahine. I noticed that on the sign-ups you offered to beta for her though, so maybe I'm off-base there? It certainly seems like her style!

[identity profile] marguerite-26.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)
interesting. I've never read any of her fics, I don't think. I may need to begin stalking.

Yes do! She's so awesome!! Totally underread. She only has a few though.

Well, Stealth and Tracking was her as/s fest entry in the spring and I just adore it. It's not dark, though - it's actually very sweet. Scorpius is so adorably befuddled in it. http://tuawahine.livejournal.com/15465.html#cutid1

D is for Death Eater is a dark h/d, (very) dub-con that i tried to beta but couldn't - I have a pretty low tolerance for dub-con - but I thought was really well written and would have been sexy as hell if it wasn't a squick for me. I don't know where you fall on the spectrum but you can handle it, you can check it out.

And she wrote me a super cute ficlet for my birthday - Pillow Talk, which is here: http://tuawahine.livejournal.com/3366.html#cutid1 I just love this little story.

The other fic I've read from is a WIP and not posted anywhere yet. But I know she has a Snarry slavefic she was working on and has been posting her original slave fic on her site. She's also got a Yule Balls coming up.

THANKS!!! That's perfect. I will bookmark them all!

I would like to add for the record that 'D for Death Eater' is not necessarily a H/D fic. That is just one of its many possible interpretations. ;)

And also, thank you for the reccing, and the saying of so many nice things.
*still blushing*

She only has a few, but one of them is very dark, almost non-con, and it has that same sort of detached narration to it that One Truth has. Plus, she's just a lovely person in general, and certainly worthy of being stalked!

[identity profile] bryoneybrynn.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! That is a good guess! She didn't approach me on the beta but she knows I don't (generally) like non-con so my non-involvement definitely doesn't rule her out. Ooooo, that's a good guess! She's so fabulous!

[identity profile] lavillanueva.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay! Oh, I am feeling very good about this guess. And you're right, she is simply fabulous!

By the way, I'm going to friend you if that's all right? I positively adored Summer Boys, even though I am made of fail when it comes to commenting. :D

[identity profile] bryoneybrynn.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, yes, please do friend! *is ridiculously pleased*

I'm glad you liked Summer Boys. One of these days I'm goign to have to go back and clean it up - writing on a weekly timeline is so not my friend. And I don't mind if you don't comment - I'm just glad to know people are reading!

[identity profile] lavillanueva.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, yay! Friended!

And I shall be certain to leave heaps of love when you post the edited version of Summer Boys. :D

Thank you for the compliment! :)

I wish I were capable of putting that much twistedness into 2K words, leave alone come up with it in the first place, but nope, wasn't me.

(I was going to turn up and grin mysteriously, but seeing as I just commented on it...)

Damn, and here I thought I was so clever!

It is a lovely piece though, and I can't wait to learn who wrote it. I hope I haven't missed yours, if it's been posted already... I'm a bit behind on reading/commenting. (Which you should TOTALLY be used to by now!)

Ha, I'm sorely behind myself. ([livejournal.com profile] xanthelj is posting a brilliant new story that is long and wonderful and taking up all my reading time.)

And... no, I'm not telling whether mine has been posted yet. But I will go ahead and say, if you thought 'One Truth' was mine, you're unlikely to guess which one was. (Ha, now I get to grin mysteriously after all.)
