a little unwell

In case you were wondering - and I'm sure you were - reading One Truth three times yesterday and discussing it in great detail (including possiblities for prequels, sequels, and parallel fics with differing POVs) for hours on end, results in a really SHITTY night's sleep.

I don't remember my dreams - thank goodness - but they were rather unpleasant and I was forced to keep waking myself up to shake off the feeling of wrongness.

Not that I regret a moment of it.

oh GOD...i totally forgot about that aspect of imperious!! hell...that just makes the fic even MORE twisted!

[identity profile] marguerite-26.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 01:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I know! There are serious LAYERS to this fic. Like the fact that totally psycho Scorpius is an AUROR! He goes to work everyday and protects the public. *meep*

I may need to do a compare of commenters on this fic to writers of the fest! *g*

[identity profile] empress-jae.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 01:27 pm (UTC)(link)

DAMN!!! I had a REALLY good guess. I would have totally bet money on it. But she confirmed it was not her fic. ::pouts::

[identity profile] empress-jae.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
who? so i can cross them off my list. :P

[identity profile] marguerite-26.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 02:16 pm (UTC)(link)
are we ok to discuss who didn't write? I suppose. It was [livejournal.com profile] lavillanueva.

She wrote a delish Harry/Scorp were they play with imperio. HERE (http://lavillanueva.livejournal.com/18525.html)

And her hd_inspired was Survival Instinct which had Draco under the influence of the horcrux.

Plus she is awesomecakes and this fic is just her style.

[identity profile] bryoneybrynn.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmmm, yes, she is is awesomecakes. Damn. I have reports to write woman! I don't have time to go back and comb through the sign-up list for people who might fit the fic! lol

[identity profile] marguerite-26.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I know!!! I have a fic I need to get from scribbles into Word pronto. I alloted all morning to that. I haven't even opened the doc. *headdesk*

Lol! Oh, I'm sorry to disappoint, love. I only wish I could take credit for that gorgeous piece!

[identity profile] marguerite-26.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 02:18 pm (UTC)(link)
oh, good! I'm glad you didn't mind me saying it wasn't you... I never know about these anon fests. SOME PEOPLE go to great lengths to find out who wrote want. :D

[identity profile] lavillanueva.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, well, some people are nosy little bitches who can not rest until their curiosity is satisfied. :P

Heyyy, nice icon!

[identity profile] lavillanueva.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 03:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Hi, I've been doing a bit of homework and I'm going to say that my official guess is: [livejournal.com profile] tuawahine. I noticed that on the sign-ups you offered to beta for her though, so maybe I'm off-base there? It certainly seems like her style!

[identity profile] marguerite-26.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)
interesting. I've never read any of her fics, I don't think. I may need to begin stalking.

[identity profile] bryoneybrynn.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 04:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes do! She's so awesome!! Totally underread. She only has a few though.

(no subject)

[identity profile] lavillanueva.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 04:10 pm (UTC)(link)
She only has a few, but one of them is very dark, almost non-con, and it has that same sort of detached narration to it that One Truth has. Plus, she's just a lovely person in general, and certainly worthy of being stalked!

[identity profile] bryoneybrynn.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! That is a good guess! She didn't approach me on the beta but she knows I don't (generally) like non-con so my non-involvement definitely doesn't rule her out. Ooooo, that's a good guess! She's so fabulous!

[identity profile] lavillanueva.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 04:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay! Oh, I am feeling very good about this guess. And you're right, she is simply fabulous!

By the way, I'm going to friend you if that's all right? I positively adored Summer Boys, even though I am made of fail when it comes to commenting. :D

[identity profile] bryoneybrynn.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, yes, please do friend! *is ridiculously pleased*

I'm glad you liked Summer Boys. One of these days I'm goign to have to go back and clean it up - writing on a weekly timeline is so not my friend. And I don't mind if you don't comment - I'm just glad to know people are reading!

Thank you for the compliment! :)

I wish I were capable of putting that much twistedness into 2K words, leave alone come up with it in the first place, but nope, wasn't me.

(I was going to turn up and grin mysteriously, but seeing as I just commented on it...)

Damn, and here I thought I was so clever!

It is a lovely piece though, and I can't wait to learn who wrote it. I hope I haven't missed yours, if it's been posted already... I'm a bit behind on reading/commenting. (Which you should TOTALLY be used to by now!)

Ha, I'm sorely behind myself. ([livejournal.com profile] xanthelj is posting a brilliant new story that is long and wonderful and taking up all my reading time.)

And... no, I'm not telling whether mine has been posted yet. But I will go ahead and say, if you thought 'One Truth' was mine, you're unlikely to guess which one was. (Ha, now I get to grin mysteriously after all.)
