Oh... being sorted... that would be cool. Every attempt I've ever made at being sorted resulted in me being told I was a squib and unsortable!!! OH THE TRAUMA!!
Honestly, I just think they are trying to keep the franchise alive, now that the last film is about to hit the cinemas. Most certainly!!! But we benefit from it (I hope) as we have a stake in the franchise being alive == fandom being alive.
While fandom is doing ~fine. There is a lot to be said for new info/new stuff to talk about in general giving us a good shot in the arm. (even if it's just to inspire us to write fic about how those new facts ARE SO WRONG.
