I loved this quirky little fic. A very different style, with Merlin’s life told in short snippets in a mosaic of oh-so-casual sex with Gwaine and conversations with Arthur trying to convince him that this destiny this is real.

I thought about it when I was writing that. I was like... UM. I KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS GOING TO BE KEEN ON MY BAMF!MERLIN.

I can't get enough of him. It's such a self-indulgence to write him like this but as much as I believe the reveal would be FEELINGS and such, I also think that Merlin's been road hard, hung up wet and has some anger/unappreciated angst, ya know?

Hee, the only pairing in the prompt was Merlin/Kilgharrah friendship, and I didn't really know which way the OP went with their Merlin pairings, but I was pretty sure NO-ONE wants to read Merlin/Kilgharrah sexings. Or maybe they do. I, uh, just don't want to write it. I'm counting this as proof that I CAN write gen, as long as there's a dragon in it.

ETA: I meant to thank you for the other recs, too, because there's some stuff there I hadn't seen and I think our tastes are quite similar!
