That was intensely painful, which was absolutely perfect for the sequel to how the season ended. You dealt beautifully with Arthur's dislocation, his stress and anxiety at having to step into his father's role, and also his fear that he could do all this work and have it taken away from him.

The gradual turn-around, the support of those he trusts, and the fact that you let HIM work so much of it out himself finally - all came together in just the right way.

Finally - you kept Merlin so in character - so loyal and hopeful and fearful, that it was beautiful when Arthur finally confronted him and he could just SAY IT. It was always going to be painful, but then they moved beyond that and it was everything a M/A hopeful could want.
