I hated OotP. HATED it. I cried for like ... ever. I remember sitting on my deck in the bright sunshine with a box of kleenex just bawling until I couldn't read anymore.

Having markreadshp pop up on my flist these last couple weeks, constantly reminding me of the 'yes, it can just keep getting worse' of OotP... it's making me all emo.

And now: CHAPTER 35: BEYOND THE VEIL.

I want to flippantly think: that's only the beginning. But that would really undermine the tragedy that is Sirius's death which really was something that you needed to live and dwell on for a bit and let it sink in before you could accept the tragedies to come.

It's honestly to this day my least favorite book of all of them and I have a raging hatred of book six because of it, simply because if you're going to make Harry an angry little jerk two weeks won't change that and WHY IS HE ONLY INTERESTED IN GETTING LAID BAD SHIT JUST HAPPENED THIS ISN'T A SITCOM. :| I don't know. I love the series horribly but the last three books when I first read them were like sucker punches to the chest and not in good ways.

I'm hoping by reading them all straight through I'll manage to appease that feeling a little.
